Post and rail

Post & Rail is an authentic and robust style of fence made from chestnut wood. Often called "horse fencing" it is highly visible and safe for horses, but is also an attractive opion for your garden. The chestnut wood does notneed to be treated as it is naturally high in tannin, so the natural wood finish blends with nature. The rail (horizontal piece) is split into quarters with a diameter of 14-16 cm, while the posts (uprigths) are semi-circular, also with a diameter of 14-16 cm.

For 90° corners, a roundpost is used with a diameter of 14-16 cm. The post & rail fence is available with either 2 or 3 horizontal rails. Posts are around 200 cm tall, while rails are approximately 300 cm (effective length 275 cm). The upper rail is positioned at 110-120 cm above ground level, and can be combined with an electric fence.
